Our Story: Afia is a woman-founder, minority-owned and family-owned business, and our recipes start with a family cookbook that traveled from Syria to Austin, Texas. Afia was founded to uplift refugees and families in need in our community as we grow, donating to feed the hungry, hiring refugees, and mentoring other startup food businesses. We fill the demand for accessible Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food that proves you don’t have to sacrifice quality for convenience.
